"Why don't you ever say anything?" Sokka asked his lover, who lay on the grass beside him, just a few feet away. The two looked up into the sky at the beautifully lit stars in the darkening sky.
"What's there to talk about?" she answered without looking at him. She sighed and closed her eyes. The day had caught up to her and she was tired.
"We're getting married next week, Mai!" he exclaimed, nearly jumping from his currently relaxed position.
"So...We wear nice clothes, walk down an isle slowly, say we love each other, then kiss," she stated. "That's all there is to talk about"
"Are you serious? Tell me how you feel! Are you nervous? Excited? Happy? What?"
"I'm happy" she lied.
"No! You're never happy" he corrected, fearing for the knife that would likely be pointed at his neck, but there never was one.

Should the troops go here or there? And what was to be done with the pirates and privateers now beginning to roam the seas? In the afternoon he had drilled the troops stationed in the city capital in basic watercraft strategies. This cumulated in an exercise of the new techniques practiced in the nearby lake. The troops were improving; this time only half of them sank.
